The one-off, 12-day Antarctic climate expedition will depart February 13, 2023 with two overnight stays and a full-day joint conference in Ushuaia, Argentina, followed by a nine-day voyage aboard Aurora Expeditions’ newest ship, the Sylvia Earleand ends with a night after the trip in Punta Arenas, Chile.

“February 2023 will be a moment of great minds coming together, a brain trust, for commitments to resolve what it takes to move from where we are now to a brighter future,” says Dr. Earle.

The expedition’s mission is to address the warming climate and ice loss in the southern polar region. It will develop creative strategies to radically reduce CO2 emissions. Each expedition member will help formulate 23 resolutions to inspire transformative change for net-zero global emissions by 2035.

Expedition passengers from around the world, limited to just 110, will join conservationists, high profile figures and ocean luminaries to raise public and government awareness of Antarctica’s splendor and importance.
